The Adoption Information Line and its sister service
The Fostering Information Line assists local authority
social services departments, adoption agencies and independant fostering agencies to recruit carers for children that have been identified as being in need of foster care or
adoption placements.
We provide information and advice to members of the general public on all aspects of fostering and adoption. Even if you have only
just started to think about adoption you can call to ask any questions you might have. Then you can think about it some more and if you decide
you want to pursue the idea further contact us again.
We also help other organisations in this field to develop information about what they do for the internet.
Our organisation has a FREEPHONE line on
0800 - 783 - 4086
It is open from 9a.m. to 9p.m. seven days a week,
excluding Bank Holidays.
Our trained help line staff provide on-the spot friendly advice to people considering adoption. We are here to help so
don't feel reluctant in any way to call us.
If requested to do so, inquirer's will be put in touch with social services departments or other adoption agencies who
are seeking foster carers or adopters in their area. You can even ask us to do this over the internet by selecting "REGISTER MY INTEREST"
from the left.
It is really simple to do!
We also provide up-to-date information on the internet concerning a host of adoption and foster care topics. If you want to
see a topic covered on our site please let us know.
On some of our pages we provide links to web sites where young people who are currently needing adoption placements are featured.
